UMPIRING

Umpires are a vital part of the game — they keep play fair, safe, and fun for everyone. At CMFA, we’re always looking for teens and adults who want to step onto the diamond in a new way by becoming a softball umpire.

Becoming an umpire comes with many great benefits:

• Free training and certification (with costs covered)

• Paid monthly for the games you officiate

• Flexible scheduling to fit around school, work, or other commitments

• Equipment and uniform shirt provided

• Stay active and keep your fitness level up

• Chance to give back while serving as a role model in the community

• Be part of a supportive team of fellow umpires

Games are scheduled Monday through Thursday evenings at various times, with additional opportunities to umpire tournament games on select weekends. A solid knowledge of the game is helpful, but training will give you the confidence and skills you need to succeed.

For youth umpires, this is a fantastic way to develop valuable job skills, build responsibility, and even earn extra credit for school. Advancement opportunities are unlimited for those who love the game and want to grow within the umpire program.
